Super Smash Bros. Ultimate World Challenge Cup was created by Nintendo to encourage global participation in the community Smash Bros. .. In this respect, Nintendo hosted members of Dream Team, who are composed of players chosen by the company as to their competence and status in community Smash Bros. ..
The Dream Team is composed of Leonardo “MKLeo” Lopez, Ramin “Mr R” Delshad and Nairoby “Nairo” Quezada. Their opponents were Team Europe, the Japanese team, and Nintendo Live Team 2019. Unlike the Dream Team, continental teams formed by players who qualified through tournaments and votes by peers.
There was a team in North America, but they were unable to fly to Japan due to typhoon Hagibis and replaced by the Nintendo Direct team in 2019.
Unlike a standard tournament Smash Bros., World Challenge Cup offers two series of three round where each team chooses a player to represent this turn. Each tower also includes different sets of rules, with the first round, including articles and balls Smash, the second round with only Smash Balls, and the third round with no evidence at all.
The grand finale of Dream Team victory over Japan was a surprise team as they lost to the Japanese team 0-3 in the match of the preliminary round. “We do not really know, simmering, or something like that because we were already assured of being on the last lap,” said IGN Nairo the event.
“I knew my characters, so I’m very confident. With articles and more characters means more mix-ups and more options, “explained Nairo after his great final match victory for the dream team. Nairo cited the first victory of the Japanese team as the reason for the victory of the Dream Team, saying how he helped them learn the strategy of the Japan team early and to form an appropriate counter.
